It didn't really turn out like me

Latest FO and Vacation!

I'm putting the pictures of Manny's present behind a link so Angie can be surprised and not look at it. So, to see my latest finished project, click here.

We're flying out to MI tomorrow. It's going to be a very full trip, but it should be fun.

I bought my Harry Potter on Saturday, but I'm saving it to read till we get to the beach. I hope there aren't any annoying children at the airport telling people the ending.

I got a new mp3 player last week. I love it. It even plays videos, even though the screen is only, like, two inches big. I've been listening to the Twilight series. And it has convinced me that the best thing to do with my life is to run away with a vampire. Why are vampires so appealing to me? I'm a freak-o.

I got new shoes. I really like them. They're super cute. See.

I've got lots to do before we get to bed tonight. Packing and cleaning up the house so it's in leavable condition. I have to decide what projects I'm going to take with me. I have a big embroidery project going on that's still a secret, so that's one. And I started swatching with some brown Gloss from KnitPicks for a pair of socks for Ben, so I might make that two. I got sick of the black socks I was making him, that yarn is just way too thin to be fun to knit with it.

I'll probably just bring lots of stuff since my main plan for this vacation is to just sit around reading and knitting and embroidery and listening to my audio books. Ahhh, relaxing.

The Hairbrush Song

I'm shocked and slightly embarrassed by the number of video posts today, but I can't help it. I love Larry.

Just Another Super Mario Bro. Piano Music

Dude, Adam, we should make Donna learn this!

ragtime-what a game!

This song always makes me think of Adam. Mostly cause he likes baseball so much. (Probably not work appropriate)

The projects are piling up

I've added a lot of projects to my list in the last week or so. Hopefully, I'll be able to get some done this week, because my new schedule starts, and I don't have to work again till Thursday. I'm making a quilt for Manny's birthday present, I've got fabric for a special Christmas surprise present, I still have yarn everywhere of course. I bought some knit fabric to make shorts and capris for work. And I'm going to enter the next Craftster challenge.

The Craftster challenge is the one exciting me the most at the moment. I'm making sea animals holding picket signs to iron onto the bags. I want to at least make a good showing for this one. Anyway, that's how I'm going to decorate my reusable grocery bags, but I've got other good plans that might help me get the edge in the contest too. Plus, I think morsbags might be one of the best ideas I've seen in a while.

So, even though I've let the project list get away from me a tad, I am really looking forward to working on things and getting my tables cleared off in order to move onto the new things. Today, I'm going over to my friend Sarah's house and we're going to work on scrapbooking. Well, she's scrapbooking. I'll be finishing the last of the wedding announcements, and I'm going to bring some knitting too. I don't have a scrapbook project right now that I can take out of the house. All the pictures are in the computer, and it's hard to plan how I'm going to want them to look before I'm working on the page. But I do have one of those already planned scrapbooks that I could glue all together so then it's ready to just add the pictures to it. I haven't decided yet what pictures I should use. I might make it a family tree scrapbook and try to put in grandparent pictures. I'm not sure yet though.

Anyway, she's going to be here soon to pick me up. (In their fancy show Cruiser, yay.) And I have to eat breakfast and finish gathering up all the crafting things that I want to take with me over there. I guess I am a little tempted to bring the big wedding scrapbook to work on, but I'm not crazy enough to try to move that. Too messy. But I might bring my scarpbook files with all the little extras so we can share if she wants.

Oh, here's a sneak peak:

I do have an artistic side!

Here's the new board I drew for the month of July at work today. I think getting to draw the boards is my favorite task.
